The Postman Revealed the Process to Determine the Necessity of His Role

“As you know, all your stories have already been written,
My service is not required if your stories go accordingly,
Sometimes I work in your lives while remaining hidden,
Here is how they decide whether my role is necessary.

The Loom of Fate weaves all the stories in Time’s Tapestry,
Time’s Tapestry tells your life, world events and future tragedy,
A warning bell chimes when humans make diverting promises,
To test the Tapestry’s integrity, we summon the Destiny sisters.

There are three Destiny sisters. Humans call them the Moirai,
Clotho, Lachesis and Atropos sing divine truth to cast off lies,
Certain accounts portray the sisters as extremely old women,
They are actually lasses who wear disguises to avoid attention.

The sisters will perform a ceremonial dance: the Destiny’s Dance,
An orchestra will play a symphony written in Time’s Tapestry,
From the writings in the Tapestry, a choir sings heavenly chants,
The Destiny’s Dance has to match the cadence of the symphony.

If the ceremony goes well, it shows the Time’s Tapestry is still intact,
Your life and history proceed as written. So I don’t have to interject,
On the other hand, if the Destiny’s Dance is all out of step,
They will send me to your tale to restore the Tapestry back.”

Clack! Clack!
Goes the weaver
Seated at her tapestry loom
From sunrise to sunset
She weaves the threads
In every shade and pattern
The colours of life radiating through with the hue of the sun
The cycle continues
On and on, it goes…
Her once soft hands have turned rough
Her face bears the wrinkles of age
Her once erect posture bends over
Her silhouette leaning against the loom
The rhythm of the weaves slows to the pace of a heartbeat lulling…
Time’s tapestry is complete!
Clack! Clack!
The echo of the loom lingers in the caress of the wind..
And then gone!

in a dance with destiny, i let her lead.

fate is a fickle thing. in my years or living and loving and leaving, i have learnt to not fight where the tides bring me. i have trained my throat to not scream when i find myself back at the coastline. let the waves crash over my body and call it love. i have faith that the ocean is kind, is wise. the ocean knows that every setback has purpose. and the way that every success is nestled in prosperity, it is the same for every failure as well.

so i will drown prosperously.

i will study the way my eyes adjust to the midnight sea. the way the sand feels beneath my feet. i will find beauty in the things that weigh me down, despite the ways they weigh me down. and i will dance. in lightness, in my lightness to the coastline. i will greet the shore with
kisses.

“it is nice to see you again.”

“i am tired but thankful.”

“can you see? i am different today
and i will return to try once more tomorrow.”
