Unrequited.

Oh what I wouldn’t give
Just to bring her home.
Share her my world, my view, and beyond
Places to be, memories were found
Oh what I wouldn’t give
Just to bring her home.

Oh why this heart is broken
Pieces given and gone
Afraid of scoffs as well as scorns
Wanting to show her I’m tired and worn
Flaws and faults she has none
Cheerful to all she sets the tone
Oh what I wouldn’t give
Just to bring her home.

Oh dear how much I regret it
Being with you from dusk till dawn
Despite now that I’m surrounded
Never fulfilled, always alone.

Oh how I wish I could atone
For the different culture, tradition, and skin tone
For the religious barrier, and clashing time zones
Her love and passion I’d never own
Oh what I wouldn’t give
Just to bring her home.

Oh I’ve always hoped
Cupid’s shot was never airborne
Straight through the heart from the arrow, it’s torn
It’d be perfect if only her love was born
Oh how I am doomed and never adorned
The sweetest girl she’s the one
Your heart is a beauty second to none
But I know that us two will never be one.

Oh how I could, just love and live
Knowing my love is out of line
Oh what indeed I wouldn’t give
Just to make her all mine.

Half.

This path would not be complete
Without you in my sight.
Searching for you is an adventure
Searching for you completes the journey
As the rainbow needs the sun and rainfall,
your presence here fulfils it all.

The journey’s perfect if you’re here with me
But I know you’ll never give it all.
Searching for you is waiting
Searching for you drains me
Searching for you exhausts me in these sleepless nights
As the untainted white mountains complement the
chaos of the blue seas,
your purity harmonises the world of calamities.

The waves of the ocean couldn’t match yours in the sky
As above, so below.
I’ve longed for your warmth in the cold of nights
I’ve longed for your calmness to my soul
I’ve longed for your beauty to my eyes
I’ve longed for you, all and nothing but you
And I hope you feel the same too.

Me.

You are not Adonis
A primed masculinity
Loved by mortals and divine
Caused the rift between,
Lady Death and Lady Lust
Least you remember
You’re born out of a curse
and died out of jealousy.

You are not Anchises
The essence of vigour
Pampered by the allure of handsomeness
Doomed to the goddess’ desire
Passionate and consummate
Least you remember
Your end was by her
due to your own arrogance and pride.

Lest you forget
You are but
A mortal man
Fated to lust
Fated to die
As you were
Collapse for one
Goddess of Love.

Greek.

Her hair was the silk woven by the Arachne
Ample body like the carvings on Olympus
Pearl-like eyes as Poseidon has never seen
Pure face shining more than Helios could ever be
Yellow-bright clearer than Selene.

Born out of the sea she must be a goddess
I was hypnotised by her gaze
Rigorous curse or perhaps a blessing
To the bone I felt only her whispering
Her body and beauty I’d never catch
Desperate to yearn never attached
As my reality shifts to forget her
Yet I am bound to only worship her.

You must have realise
That my confession had
Made me forever yours.
