My name is Winter

Did you knock my door twice,
when you know I’ll shut it thrice.
Hello there Mister,
my name is Winter.
You beseech for coffee,
but I only have tea,
Farewell then Mister,
till you meet your Summer.

Kindness

I met kindness once,
it came to my darkest
dream, uninvited –
I let it stay, for a little while,
for its worth, shouldn’t be taken for granted.
Vividly I remember, how it strangely held me,
I looked at it awe, full of wonder and affinity,
for its warmth and beauty –
I dared not resist,
it was genuinely plain,
it made me fall in love again.

Julai usah pergi

Julai usah pergi,
janji kosong sang Munafik,
dijanjinya taman, bunga sebangkai
harum berlendir, nanah setasik.
Julai usah pergi,
janji manis sang Penglipur Lara,
disarungnya emas, bertatah api
manis berhias, penuh bara.
Julai, biar aku pergi,
Julai, biar aku sepi.

Pesta di Syurga

Guntur berdentum,
badai liar menerpa –
menangislah sekarang,
usah henti hujan ini.
Esok dengan zikir indah,
irama ini kan bergema,
buat penghuni syurga berpesta.
