Insanity | Sweater | Heaven – Poetry Collection Written By Thiviyashirry

Thiviyashirry

Thiviyashirry Rajendran, who goes by Thiviyashirry, is from Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. She is currently studying to be a teacher and will be graduating next year with a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Bahasa Malaysia and in Physical Education. During her free time, she enjoys listening to music, reading novels, painting, and writing poems. She’s just a simple girl who’s full of curiosity and loves to explore, and she has always been drawn to the power of words to evoke emotions and tell stories through poetry. Her family, friends, and the world-renowned K-POP boy band BTS have always been her inspirations throughout her life. She has never shared her poems with anyone before, and she has always been afraid of sharing them with the world, but as a beginner who strives to become a great poet, she would like to give it a shot.

Insanity

Did she really deserve this?
Did she really deserve to go through this?
Isn’t it sad how one could act happy yet dissemble
their misery in despair?
The pain was too much yet she hid it perfectly.
She hid all her pain and sufferings with her delicate
petals

She was the most radiant, blithesome creature on the
outside but nobody knew that she was battling a storm
within her
A storm which no one knew except her; torn between
her reality and the expectations
It felt like she was walking on broken glass, locked in
a dark room where there’s not a single light to be
found.
Her heart shattered; turning into dust
Trying to fix every little LEGO piece to solve
everything that was surrounding her.
She tried so hard to fix everything till she couldn’t
understand how it feels to be alive.
She was the definition of insanity in disguise…

Sweater

I still remember it,
The smell of yours, it still lingers on your weary old
sweater.

The days we spent during summer, spring, autumn,
and winter; winter was my favorite.

Snuggling together in your huge sweater, your warm
hugs and the material of your sweater made me melt
into your very arms

But those memories don’t make life any better.

If only I was prettier than her, if I only I was better
than her, and only if I was her, you would have
stayed.

It still hurts to know that you still and will always be
my favorite sweater..

Heaven

“Heaven has many meanings,” they say.
What is really “heaven”?
What does heaven feel like?
Some say heaven feels magical.
Some say heaven is like when you meet your
soulmate.
And some say that heaven is like being shifted into
your daydream.

Sometimes I question myself: Have I found my
heaven yet?
I don’t want to chase after my heaven; I want
someone to bring heaven to me.
I want to be someone’s heaven in their hell.
I want someone to drag me to their hell- into the
depths of Hades with them.
I want someone to show me what heaven feels like—
to show me what it really feels like to be in heaven
with them
I’d rather be dragged down to someone’s hell then be
stuck into something I really don’t desire..
