    5/5 ⭐️’s for I watched you listen by @timothyjoshpoetry @penwingspublishing

ive always been a massive fan of his writing style in terms of poetry.
back then, when i bought questions to our answers. I was going through a heartbreak that needed some healing, i needed someone to at least validate for whatever that goes through my mind- i wasnt actually insane, just a girl who was emotionally unstable. And the poems that he did in the book, helped me so much. From the words that never came out from my mind, he had already said everything.

It is the same with ” I Watched You Listen” only the different is that, it felt validated in terms of myself for falling in love with someone. It felt as if the words were lingering in my mind, whispering and telling me that you deserved this love. I am grateful that the poems from the book here, felt as if it was a long lost best friend that hears my heartbeat and advices me at the same time.

I Watched You Listen by Timothy Joshua will be available TOMORROW 7/8/24! Pre-order yours NOW at penwings.com/store before it ends really soon my loves. It is worth it indeed, i hope you’ll love it as much as i did.

I Watched You Listen by Timothy Joshua

I watched you listen by Timothy Joshua let you into the heart of a person who wants their voices to be heard. Its the subtlety of reminiscences of love and happiness in fleeting moments, a flicker of hope and the gaze of love in words written with honesty. A poignant memory of being loved and to love. There was joy and happiness in the beginning but sorrow came after crashing the reality in the latter half. I found myself relating to the poems towards the end, the prose were beautifully crafted and I felt the tinge of melancholy permeated the lines as I read it.

For someone who doesn’t read poetry much, I found myself immersed in the words and how delicate the emotions and feelings were written in here. Some of my favorites are A broken clock, About loneliness, Life Sentence, Loving in Silence, Seam and Stress, Silence Speaks louder, Shallow Drown heart.

The collection offers comfort in forms for those who love so hard, those who suffer from heartbreak and sorrows, the kind of yearning for what was once loved and now lost. I love how raw some of the poems are. The unyielding desperation of one person wanting the kind of love they want and to relish on the memories of love they had. A heartrendingly beautiful collection with enchanting quotes and lines that describes each emotion so well.

i watched you listen is a masterpiece, once again timothy has done it with his lyrical poems and his writing style. his prose poetry is one that i really love because of his insights and unique lens of viewing the world, there are so much emotions to be felt through the simplicity of his words 💛

I think poetry is so personal and that everyone will get something out of it and while this is a collection of love, loss, and life, i feel that timothy’s words are so healing and heartfelt that it can be enjoyed across all ages – which is true because i shared some proses with my mom and she finds them heartening as well ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)

some of my personal favorites include “about loneliness”, “phantom letters”, “loving in silence”, and “the distance between” and you can tell from the titles that they encapsulate different themes and messages, which the versatility of it i absolutely appreciated 💛 and there are some poems that are catered towards lovers, you can find hints of familial love and friendship in between the words as well, which adds to the special connection between the poems and the reader when you get to view them in a different light as well ⋆ ˚。⋆୨୧˚

I particularly love the longer proses and poems, i think something about timothy’s writing is that the longer they are, the more alluring you are to his words – i think this is such a gem of a collection, and possibly one of my faves when it comes to poetry preferences for sure! highly recommending this and i am being completely honest about it!

“I Watched You Listen” is a compilation of Timothy Joshua’s poems, and one which I savored with every read. My favorite out of the collection is the poem titled “A Song // Only I Can Hear”, which encapsulates various facets of the universal human experience that you can relate to many, if not all, of the poems. It’s probably my favorite poem out of the rest, due to its duality as it comprises two different poems that can be read in tandem & alternately. Aside from that, the poems are all about being heard, which is one of the things we seek in our relationships.

The central theme of silence is prevalent throughout. In a loud world, who doesn’t yearn for the chance to be heard? For fans of poetry, I’m positive you’ll find something that suits you in “I Watched You Listen”.
